Looks like we’ve recently gotten a new teaser trailer for Stranger Things Season 3, if you’re a fan of the show you’re probably similar to me in the fact that you’re way too hyped about only half a minute of new information. So let’s break it down! Suzie, Do You Copy? That’s cool though, because it still gives us cause to nerd out and try to figure out any clues the next Season’s episode names might give us. Well who the hell is Suzie? I know we are getting a few new cast members next season a couple of names have circulated in the rumor mill but I definitely don’t recall hearing Suzie in the mix. The ‘Do You Copy?’, part of the title makes me think that we’re for sure still using two-way radios this season. They could be used for a million different things though, so without wild speculation, there isn’t a ton to glean from it. We already for sure know that a mall is going to be a huge backdrop for this coming season, we’ve already seen a Starcourt mall in a mock commercial for it in a video released earlier this year. Steve appears to be working in said mall, so as he is the gangs licenced caregiver, and it’s Summer, and it’s 1985, I feel like it’s a good bet that we’re going to be in this mall a lot. Super hot hotswitch coore That would be nice to see, especially as Eleven is getting older, wiser, and probably very tired of not understanding exactly what she’s going through. This is where the titles start to interest me. We’ve already lost a beloved cast member due to an unfortunate incident with a pool and a hungry Demogorgon. If not, has a lifeguard been captured by some of the same guys that ran Hawkins Lab because he stumbled into the frame at the wrong time or place? The Sauna Test Is some poor schmuck of a lifeguard about to meet the same fate? Honestly, everyone in this town should really think twice about how much time they spend in pools if that’s the case. What? The first thing that pops into my head here is John Carpenters The Thing (1982) remake. Possibly like in last season, where The Mind Flayer had to be driven out of Will by nearly cooking him, the guys are trying to test one another in a sauna to make sure they’re not being possessed. Of all evil? Of Eleven and other kids powers? I feel like the latter was broached last season, but a definitive answer was not given. That would be nice to see, especially as Eleven is getting older, wiser, and probably very tired of not understanding exactly what she’s going through.

Another useful command to help find a process by name or PID is grep which can filter out the desired information. I/O refers to your disk read/writes, and Data refers to the amount of data being read/written.– ps -ax: Type ps -ax at Terminal’s command prompt to list every process running, along with additional details such as the PID, the elapsed time running, and the process name and location. In general though you will not get that figure because unless you're writing/reading one large file there's a lot of additional processing and overhead. I would recommend looking at "Data read/sec" and "Data written/sec" and comparing these figures to your SSDs rated performance (you can google what your computer should be getting). This graph doesn't have units, it isn't intended to be used except to estimate changes in usage. Because of Swap, there is no requirement that the amount of memory used is less than Physical memory. This happens when your system runs low on memory, but unless your "memory pressure" is consistently high this isn't indicative of a problem. Swap used refers to the amount of memory that has been "swapped" to the disk for temporary archival. You see eight cores because your Mac has an Intel chip that creates virtual cores. But the graphs have no units which does limit their usefulness. The graph calls this DATA (which seems reasonable to me).įrom your graphs and current counters, the Mac looks fairly busy from the disk point of view. The values for amount of data and current rates are on the right hand side. To the left of the graph, Activity Monitor shows that number of read and write operations (called IO in the graphs) both as totals since boot and current rates.Įach disk operation can read or write variable amounts of data. Your "memory pressure" graph is green, which indicates that macOS is able to manage memory with few bottlenecks. With a simple calculation, you can work out that your Free Memory is only 0.10 GB. So it is true that Memory Used + Cached Files is always less than or equal to Physical RAM. Memory Used + Cached Files + Free memory = Physical Memory But that is what Activity Monitor calls it. I don't like the use of "memory used" in this context because, in reality, nearly all the physical RAM is usefully occupied. Wired memory is memory which can't be compressed or swapped. Memory allocations can be counted in more than one way, but as presented by Activity Monitor:Īpp Memory + Wired memory + Compressed = Memory Used Ideally, the memory tuning will have chosen application memory that is unlikely to be wanted for some time. MacOS's memory tuning has a preference for compression rather than swapping, though in your example, it has decided that rather a lot of memory must be taken out of physical RAM and placed in the swap files. With SSDs, this is quicker and leads to a more responsive feel to the system. When boot disks were hard disks, this was a key cause of slow system response. This moving portions of memory out and in to RAM is called swapping and the disk space used is in one or more swap files.Ĭompressing and decompressing is a relatively fast action using a highly efficient algorithm. When an application requires to use that memory, it will have to be brought back into physical RAM. In your case, 6.64 GB of disk space in being used in this way. Move some portions of memory out of physical RAM and store them on the boot disk. Of course, the memory will need to be decompressed before it is next used. In your example, 906 MB of physical RAM is being used to store some unspecified (but probably about twice that) of macOS and application memory. In that case, the memory management of macOS frees up RAM in two ways: There are time when macOS and your running applications need more memory can than comfortably fit in physical RAM. In your example, the cores are only lightly loaded and not sufficient to make significant use of hyper-threading. The second physical is in graphs 3 and 4, and so on. The first physical core is shown as the first two virtual cores in the graphs. There are circumstances where this can slow throughput, but it is usually beneficial.Īctivity monitor presents all 8 virtual cores. This has the benefit of allowing the cores to more rapidly change from running one process thread to another thread (quite likely from a different process). Your CPU has 4 cores, but also has Hyper-threading which presents 8 virtual cores to the operating system. I am writing this because I feel that Elin answer is, in some parts, misleading. I have taken your questions as relating to four areas which I will attempt to answer in the same sequence. audiothemes 5.1 compatible up to NVDA 2019.2 (3191 downloads since 00:00:00).

I probably got stung twenty or thirty times before I jumped off the roof. Were the spiders and hornets that you saw solid or more of a hallucination? There's no way naturally that could have happened. If the house shook, it would have only slid over to the edge of that lip. So everything would have had to jump over that lip. I jumped up on top of the counter to look up there and see why and how everything could have been thrown off the top shelf, and there was a lip on the top shelf – about a one-inch lip. We were sitting on the other side of the kitchen, and on the top shelf of the cabinet, everything came flying off and hit the wall. It was while we were sitting down, talking about these things that were happening and trying to put all the pieces together when that happened. We kept it all to ourselves until we realized what was going on. We had never swapped stories about what was happening. We were telling each other the stories about what had happened to each other. My little sister came in and she sat down with us. There are a few strange occurrences that had happened in the house, and my mom and I were just sitting down and were talking about some of the things that were going on. And we anointed the house, and we felt like we had done something. So, we took his guidance and we were able to go around and do a cleansing on the house. He just wanted to give us guidance to do it on our own. We had a pastor that we could talk to, but he didn't want to come out. So, we basically ended up having to do this stuff on our own. And nobody talked about ghosts because how could you be a ghost if you went onto heaven afterwards. Especially in the Deep South, it was very taboo to bring up that there was anything possibly malevolent or demonic going on in any situation. This was a time frame when nobody really talked about that kind of stuff. We weren't experienced in any of that, at that time. We had just gone and done a cleansing on the house. What do you think triggered this attack? Did it happen more than once? You experienced a night in which flying glasses and jars attacked you and your mother. But, later I found out that there was somebody that passed away in that room a few years earlier. It didn't feel like anybody had been in there for a while. It felt like I stepped into something that had been closed up for twenty years, at the time. It honestly seemed like it belonged in the seventies. Like there was something almost collapsing you when you walked in. You got this oppressive feeling when you walked in. But, it was summertime in South Carolina, and summer in South Carolina is usually very humid, so it was kind of refreshing to kind of go into that room where it was cool. The house was cool – don't get me wrong, it had real tall ceilings. That room was just so much cooler than the rest of the house. Well, when we unlocked that door, I felt a cold rush come through me. What were the first few things that started off as soon as you opened that door? Now, we didn't talk about it amongst our family because we all thought that it was something that happened to each one of us personally until towards the end when we realized it was happening to multiple members of the family at any given time. I think from that moment on, we had some sort of experience. The family that had lived there before us had locked it. We'd unlocked the door that had been locked for we really don't know how long. There was a family there that was leaving, and as soon as they left, me and a friend of mine that was there with me decided we were going to explore. How long were you in the house before you started experiencing unexplainable incidents?Īlmost instantly. There was plenty of land to hunt and fish on so I was excited about it. But when I first arrived… I liked it because it was a big old house. But, there was a family that was moving out, and they were kind of like in a panic to get out of there so that quickly changed things. For me, I was excited because it was a new place. It was very cool when you first stepped inside. Catch up on Paranormal Witness on Peacock or the SYFY app.Ĭould you describe the atmosphere the house gave off when you first stepped inside?
The classic bait is a strip of squid and a minnow placed on each hook. The rig most often used is the high-low bottom fishing rig. The most common method of fishing for flounder is drifting bait on the bottom. Flounder can be found in skinny water, many are caught by speckled trout fishermen on Poquoson Flats, but most of the bigger fish are caught at least adjacent to deep water. There are also good fisheries that develop at the mouth of Back River and at the mouth of Lynnhaven Inlet. These include the area near the Cell, 36A off of Cape Charles, the Hump, Back River Reef, the channels at the mouth of the bay, and of course, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. Certain areas are known for producing numbers of big fish. Flounder can be found throughout the bay and in the rivers feeding the bay. Summer and Fall are the times to fish the lower Chesapeake Bay. Wachapreague has a world class fishery that is at its peak April through June. In Virginia, it is primarily an April through November fishery though some are caught in March and December.Įarly season action is found in the seaside inlets of Virginia’s Eastern Shore. Lately, there has been a surge in the number and in the size of flounder. They are great to eat and are fun to catch. Here is a video I created on the double tandem rig, this is a perfect setup for flounder and can be tied in less than a minute.Flounder are one of the most sought after fish in our waters. Tie a few and see if your do not catch more flounder, more keeper flounder, during your next trip. Plus, our tip on how to make it even better by pairing with the Gulp! Minnow Grub. So, there you have it, the best flounder rig and how to tie it. The 3 inch version is good if you want a teaser or are using smaller jigs. Regardless of what color you select the 4-inch version is best suited for most jigs. A growing number of anglers are reporting success with the orange tiger and salmon red varieties, but only time will tell if they reach the level of success the others have achieved. Most devote users prefer the pearl white color but will sometime switch it up with the chartreuse. Gulp! baits are almost unbelievable in their ability to catch fish and the Minnow Grub has quickly earned a reputation for catch big numbers of big fish. But there is one bait that has revolutionized flounder fishing and consistently produces more fish than anything else – the Gulp! Minnow Grub. Anglers without access to live bait often resort to dead shrimp and strips of squid. Because you are using the weight of the jig instead of a second heavier weight the flounder can be detected easier even when the bit subtle.įlounder feed on a variety of baits including shrimp, pinfish, finger mullet and other small baitfish. This is a more natural schooling presentation that flounder are expecting. Because each jig is tied to a separate length of line they swim separately, with the lower heavier jig often drifting behind the first. Plus, the weight being under the rig caused it to drop straighter and can make detecting the light bite difficult. Even if there are tag lines of varying lengths the baits suspend more or less one on top of the other. Other rigs present the baits in a near vertical position. What makes this jig so much better than the others out there? Simple, the action. This rig could not be easier to tie and can be prepared ahead of time or as needed:
However, unlike Terra’s UST minting mechanism, NEAR used for such conversions is not directly burned but will be channeled into Decentral Bank’s Reserve Fund. In other words, after initial issuance, users can mint new USD with NEAR or other stablecoins at a 1:1 ratio, and they can also directly convert NEAR into new USN in the Sender wallet. Subsequently, the new USN will be directly minted with NEAR or other stablecoins at a 1:1 ratio. Decentral Bank issues the initial supply of USN through over-collateralization of the initial collateral (NEAR) at a ratio of 2:1. The initial supply of USN is double-collateralized by NEAR and USDT via the Reserve Fund. The DAO can vote to stake the NEAR from the Reserve Fund and distribute the staking rewards to the users of protocols that integrate USN. Decentral Bank (), the DAO developing and supporting USN, manages the smart contracts of $USN and its Reserve Fund. USN’s core stability mechanisms consist of on-chain arbitrage and the Reserve Fund based on the Currency Board principle. USN is positioned to be an effective way to bootstrap liquidity in the NEAR ecosystem while adding a new layer to NEAR’s utility as a token. About USNĪs the first NEAR-native algorithmic stablecoin, USN is soft-pegged to the US Dollar and backed by a Reserve Fund that contains collaterals such as NEAR and USDT. The fall of UST showed this nascent stablecoin how the death spiral of an algorithmic stablecoin can engulf and destroy everything like a terrifying black hole, and users also wonder whether USN could avoid a similar ending in the future. USN, a stablecoin native to an emerging public chain named NEAR, was launched almost at the same time as UST collapsed. Following the crash, algorithmic stablecoins have once again become a popular crypto topic. In May 2022, UST and LUNA, which once recorded a total market cap of over $40 billion, collapsed overnight, and plenty of users suffered huge losses as a result.
